Ingredients

    1. 2 lbs pork spareribs
    2. 1 tablespoon shortening
    3. salt and pepper
    4. 1 quart sauerkraut
    5. 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    6. 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Cut ribs into serving pieces. Heat cooker and add shortening. Brown ribs on both sides. Season with salt and pepper. Place sauerkraut over ribs and sprinkle with brown sugar. Add water. Close cover and secure tightly. Place plressure regulator on vent pipe and cook 15 minutes after regulator starts gently rocking. Cool at once.
