Ingredients

    1. 2/3 cup shortening
    2. 1 cup sugar
    3. 3 eggs
    4. 3 cups flour
    5. 3 teaspoons baking powder
    6. 1 teaspoon salt
    7. 1 cup buttermilk
    8. 10 ounces blueberries

Directions

  1. cream the shortening and sugar till fluffy. add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one is added.
  2. sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. to the egg mixture; alternate adding dry ingredients with the buttermilk.
  4. when well blended fold in blueberries.
  5. fill muffin pan cups about 1/2 way.
  6. Bake @ 375 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes.
