Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients

    1. 2 lbs chicken breasts, thinly sliced
    2. 1 1/2 cups plain yogurt
    3. 1/3 cup vinegar
    4. 3 tablespoons lemon juice
    5. 1 1/2 teaspoons allspice
    6. 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
    7. 1 teaspoon sumac
    8. 1/2 teaspoon salt
    9. 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
    10. 1 -2 black cardamom pod

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together
  2. cook over medium heat about 1 hour.
  3. the chicken will become very soft and tender. Mash it up with a wooden spoon to shred it all apart.
  4. Serve in pitas with your favorite condiments and veggies.
