Fergy's Cornbread to Die For

Ingredients

    1. 1 sweet onion
    2. 1 (8 1/4 ounce) cans creamed corn
    3. 1 (7 ounce) boxes cornbread mix
    4. 1 cup sour cream
    5. 1 cup grated cheese
    6. 1/4 cup butter
    7. 1 egg
    8. 1/3 cup milk
    9. 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
    10. 1/4 teaspoon salt
    11. 1/4 teaspoon dill weed (optional)

Directions

  1. Dice the onion.
  2. Saute in butter.
  3. Combine cornbread mix, egg, milk, cream corn and Tabasco.
  4. Pour in a 8x8 greased baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. While baking, combine sour cream, salt, 1/2 cup cheese and onions.
  7. When the bread has baked for 15 minutes, spread the sour cream mix over the top evenly.
  8. Sprinkle 1/2 cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
