Ingredients

    1. 1/2 cup shortening
    2. 1 cup white sugar
    3. 2 eggs
    4. 1/4 cup milk
    5. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    6. 1 teaspoon baking soda
    7. 1/2 teaspoon salt
    8. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    9. 1/2 cup raisins
    10. 1 2/3 cups quick-cooking oats
    11. 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Add the raisins , chocolate chips, and quick oats; mix until just combined. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to cool completely. Store in an air tight container.
