Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers

Ingredients

    1. 1 lb 90% lean ground beef
    2. 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
    3. 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    4. 1/2 cup scallion, minced
    5. 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
    6. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    7. 1 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely ground
    8. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    9. 1 teaspoon dry mustard
    10. 4 hamburger buns

    Toppings

    1. 4 leaves lettuce
    2. 4 slices tomatoes
    3. 1/2 avocado, sliced
    4. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, blue cheese, bacon, scallions, hot pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, and mustard.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill for high heat. Gently form the burger mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Grill patties to your desired doneness.
  5. Serve on rolls with lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo.
