Baked Cranberry Oatmeal

    1. 709.77 ml skim milk, plus more for serving if desired
    2. 88.74 ml packed brown sugar
    3. 22.18 ml margarine
    4. 9.85 ml ground cinnamon
    5. 354.88 ml old fashioned oats
    6. 354.88 ml peeled, finely chopped apples
    7. 177.44 ml dried cranberries
    8. 177.44 ml coarsely chopped walnuts or 177.44 ml pecans


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.
  2. Coat a 9 in square pan with nonstick spray.
  3. In a large saucepan, bring the milk, brown sugar, margarine, and cinnamon to a boil.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, chopped apple, cranberries, and nuts; spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. When the milk mixture begins to boil, pour out evenly over the oatmeal mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, ore until the liquid has been absorbed and the oatmeal is tender.
  7. Cut the mixture into 6 servings, scooping each out into a cereal bowl.
  8. Garnish with a sliced apple (if desired) and serve with a pitcher of milk.
