Apple-Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Ingredients

    1. 16 slices French bread ( 1/2 inch thick)
    2. 1 medium apple, chopped
    3. 1/4 cup goat cheese, crumbled
    4. 3/4 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced
    5. 1/2 teaspoon fresh oregano, minced
    6. 1/4 teaspoon pepper, coarsely ground

Directions

  1. Place bread slices on an ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Broil 3-4 inches from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Combine the apple, goat cheese, thyme, oregano and pepper; sprinkle over bread.
  4. Broil 1 minute or until cheese is softened.
