Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

    1. 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    2. 3/4 cup milk or 3/4 cup cream
    3. 1/2 cup butter
    4. salt
    5. pepper

Directions

  1. Boil potatoes in 3 c water in medium pan until soft, nearly mushy.
  2. Drain in colander.
  3. Put potatoes and remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Using electric mixer, beat on high until fluffy and smooth.
  5. Beat longer about 3 minutes after you stop seeing lumps to make them light and fluffy.
  6. Add more salt to taste.
