Easy Chili

Ingredients

    1. 4 slices bacon
    2. 1 green pepper, chopped
    3. 2 onions, chopped
    4. 1 lb ground beef
    5. 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes ( Do not drain!)
    6. 1 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    7. 1 tablespoon oregano
    8. 1 tablespoon chili powder
    9. 1/4 tablespoon ground red pepper
    10. 2/3 cup catsup

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, fry bacon crisp and remove.
  2. Brown onions and green pepper in the bacon grease.
  3. Add ground meat and cook until browned. I use lowfat ground beef. If you do not, drain the excess grease off before proceeding.
  4. Add tomatoes, catsup, kidney beans and spices.
  5. Break up bacon and add to mixture.
  6. Simmer for an hour or so until flavors blend.
