  • 14.79 ml corn oil
  • 236.59 ml green onion, thinly sliced
  • 453.59 453.59 g venison or 453.59 g goat meat, cubed
  • 1419.54 ml water or 1419.54 ml meat broth, divided
  • 946.36 ml corn
  • 4.92-9.85 ml ground red chili pepper, New Mexico if available
  • salt
  • cilantro

directions

  • Heat oil in dutch oven.
  • add green onionbs and saute briefly.
  • Stir in meat and 3 cups broth. Simmer about 1 hour, stirring occasionally until meat is tender.
  • Add remaining broth, chili, corn and salt. Simmer about 15 minutes more.
  • Serve hot soup in bowls topped with cilantro.
