YUMMY! I made some substitutions based on ingredients on hand and doubled the recipe overall (to feed our hungry family of 5 with a little for leftovers). Used fresh dill instead of parsley, a little cream (under a cup) instead of evaporated milk, fresh cherry tomatoes (cut in half) instead of canned, and about 1/2 cup of a blend of hard italian cheeses instead of the parmesan/cheddar combination. Our family - including young kiddos - gobbled it up! Thanks for the great recipe, Sallyanne!

This is wonderful. I did make a dew changes; less parsley, 3C chicken stock and 1 bouillon cube, 1/2 can of the tomatoes, I didn't want to over power the delicate flavor with tomatoes. I also added 1/4 lb of black forrest ham chopped. Really, really great!!!

Made this a couple of times this growing season. Very fresh and good recipe for your garden goods. I used fresh skinned tomatoes to replace the canned as well as fat free evaporated milk. Still a rich tasting chowder...

thank you for this excellent recipe!! what a delicious way to use up fresh zucchini--i also used fresh tomatoes (seeded), chopped fresh garlic, and 3 cans of broth in place of the water-- and a drained a corn (which is what i had on hand)- and i added all the parsley near the end--oh- and used more cheese-- so good!!! rich and hearty- wonderful meatless entree!!

What a great way to use garden vegetables in the late summer....this made a delicious chowder full of veggies. I used fresh tomatoes, peeled and seeded, and halved the cheese. I love the added parsley, it just adds to the fresh flavour of this soup. MMM!

This soup has a wonderful rich flavor for those who enjoy a slight bitey taste to their soups. It's got a southwestern feel to it. Very good!

simple to make and so good! I didnt have any parmesan cheese but i had the rind of a cheese left and put that in while the soup cooked. I took that out at the end, and added the rest of the cheese to melt in . good good good!!!

I was leary to make this..but it is delicious. I varied it slightly by taking one small zucchini, puree with some of t eh hot soup, added it back as a thickening agent...
