Za'atar is both the name of a wild mid-eastern herb, and is also given to the mix that bears its name. Sprinkle on pitas, hummus, etc.
- 1⁄4 cup dried thyme
- 1⁄4 cup sumac
- 1⁄4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon dried onion powder (granules)
- 1⁄2 tablespoon sesame seeds, lightly toasted
