These are delicious! I love that you don't have to boil them and they still taste like you bought them from the mall! I used wheat flour, (we grind our own) as I didn't have any storebought. It would probably taste more "normal" if I used white flour. (the wheat has a taste of its own) Thanks for posting!
The pretzels came out great but the directions don't match up to the ingredients list which was confusing. I'm not sure where the 8th of a cup very warm water comes into play when it says you need 1 1/2 cups warm water in the recipe directions themselves. I just followed the amounts stated in the directions. I used quick(breadmaker) yeast because I find the normal yeast doesn't always dissolve well into the dough when added directly to the flour without softening.
These were a lot of fun to make. Next time, I think that I'll let the dough rise longer. I made them with cinnamon and sugar and they tasted great! Thanks for the recipe.
