I love rice pudding and hope you enjoy it too!!!


  1. Cook 1 cup of arborio rice, follow directions on package.
  2. Preheat oven at 350c and lightly grease 2 qt casserole dish, with butter or margarine.
  3. In bowl beat 2 eggs, add brown and white sugar, mix, add vanilla and 2 cups of milk, mix well.
  4. Add your rice and raisins (optional) to dish and let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Then add,mixture to rice, sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon.
  6. Cook for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes until the top is no longer mushy.
  7. Serve in bowl add milk if desired.

i made this recipe exactly as instructed. it was horrible, really mushy, maybe too much egg.

I messed this up the first time I made it by not adding enough milk. The second time I made it exactly as your recipe states & it turned out great. My wife is a rice pudding nut & it got her approval so it must be good Thanks for sharing

I bought arborio rice to make a Ready Set Cook recipe and then I did a search for other recipes using it and found this recipe. We all really enjoyed this and my 3 year old son had 2 helpings. The only change I made was to use Baking Spice - Copycat Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus Mix for the cinnamon. Thanks for sharing.
