Delicious and very easy to make. You will be proud to serve your own homemade syrup.
- Setting honey aside, bring to a boil all other ingredients stirring constantly till sugar is completely dissolved.
- Boil for 5 minutes or till mixture reaches 220° on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat, discarding cinnamon stick and cloves, and then add the honey stirring the mixture well.
- Cool and enjoy.
This is great syrup and tastes so much better then store bought! I've shared this recipe with friends! My kids love it!! I love the flavor if cinnamon and cloves! Thanks for sharing!
My husband, and both kids all said this should be the syrup we use from now on! No more store bought for us. It tastes like an expensive specialty syrup. I will be giving this out as Christmas presents.
