Here is a 'recipe' for a quick & yummy dessert that kids from the age of 5 can make by themselves. You can use any combination of yogurt / custard & fruit, below are my sons favourites.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • Dessert Option 1

  • 118.29 ml of sliced mango
  • 118.29 ml peach yogurt
  • whipped cream (the squirty can type!)
  • candy sprinkles or chocolate shavings
  • Dessert Option 2

  • 1 chocolate cupcake (or mini chocolate muffin)
  • 118.29 ml sliced kiwi
  • 118.29 ml wholegrain strawberry yogurt (Onken)
  • whipped cream (the squirty can type!)
  • chocolate shavings
  • Dessert Option 3

  • 118.29 ml tinned peach
  • 118.29 ml fat-free apricot yogurt
  • whipped cream (the squirty can type!)
  • candy sprinkles or chocolate shavings
  • Dessert Option 4

  • 118.29 ml sliced banana
  • 118.29 ml custard
  • whipped cream (the squirty can type!)
  • candy sprinkles or chocolate shavings

Directions

  1. Arrange the ingrediets in a glass (plastic or a bowl for younger kids) in the order they appear above. ie: fruit - topping - decoration.

Thanks for posting the recipe :) Little Miss my 5 year old DD has been making this since Um Safia mentioned it in the Kid-friendly Cooking (Baby Food on up to Teens) forum. We have basically used fruit with similar yoghurt, lactose free cream and chocolate shavings. Pictured are blueberries with blueberry yogurt, cream and chocolate shavings. This recipe is perfect for kids because they don't need a hot stove. Thank you Um Safia and please thank your son for a wonderful recipe
