Very good, basic clam chowder. I thought the texture was just right, but it could hae used more flavor. I would add some herbs and/or spices next time (like thyme or parprika for example). Overall, this was enjoyable and easy to make. Thanx!

I sauteed the onions first, then did the rest. Added the clams at the last and 2/3 the amount of milk for a slightly thicker soup. My canned clams had some grit to them, not lovin' that. But, the flavor was good. Enjoyable but I'm not sure I would make it again because of the grit, not the recipes fault I suppose.

This was a really great chowder. Not too clammy & not to milky. I did add cooked & crumbled bacon as that's the way mom made fresh clam chowder growing up, but other than that made as directed. I served it with Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Red Lobster). Thank you for posting, MizzNezz!
