  • Use your hands to mix Ground Beef, Sauce, Onion, Garlic, Salt & Pepper.
  • Slowly mix in Bread Crumbs until it gets thick, but not so much that they are really noticeable.
  • Separate into four equal parts.
  • Roll into large balls then gently flatten. Do not press, pound, or smash.
  • Grill until you reach desired temperature. (I use a George Forman Grill).
  • Take off the grill and top with shredded cheese.

  1. Really good burgers! I used lean ground turkey and cooked them on the foreman grill. I do think they could have used more BBQ sauce, but yummy all the same. Thanks for posting!

  2. This was awesome!!! I used Sweet Baby Rays Honey Barbeque sauce

  3. These burgers were very good with a nice combination of flavors. I'll cut back on the bread crumbs next time and maybe add more of the barbecue sauce which I really like on my burgers. Thanks for sharing.

  4. I didn't do this as stated (I didn't think my results were anything special). I only had about 1 T barbecue sauce. It was Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Chipotle. I did not add any salt or pepper because I didn't know how much to add. I ended up using less than half the breadcrumbs (I never add them to my burgers, so I guess they seemed "noticeable" at that point LOL.) I used sliced cheddar because I had it - I also had some I could shred, but I thought it would be more complicated. They tasted fine. I served them with Recipe #74730.

  5. Really delicious! Even the toddler who doesn't eat meat much wanted seconds. I doubled the onion because we're very fond of onion. Next time I'll use sliced cheese because I lost too much of the shredded cheese down the grill.

My favorite cookbook is the one from the 1940's that belonged to my Cuban great-aunt. The best recepies are the ones she had written in the margins & on the covers. My favorite childhood memory is sucking on a cinnamon stick I pulled out of hot rice pudding on a rain afternoon.
