  • Wash potatoes and place in pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook until tender when pierced with a fork, 40-50 minutes.
  • Drain and place in a large mixing bowl. Add milk, butter, scallions and mash, blending well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve piping hot.

  1. These were very good! I used 2T garlic butter and 2T margarine but I think I will use reg. butter next time. A good comfort food recipe. Thanks!
     
  2. These were fantastic and everybody loved them. I only had skim milk on hand. I served these with grilled tuna steaks, grilled vegi's and a spinach salad. Thanks! We'll be making these often.
     
  3. These are very tasty and easy to make. I used Yukon Gold pototoes (my favorite). I used only 3 tbsp of butter and for the milk I used evaporated skim milk. Love the scallions in there. I mashed mine coarsley, so they still had chunks in them. Very tasty recipe. I will be making this again.
