Absolutely delicious. I used chopped up steak rather than ground beef, and it was really lovely. Thanks for a hearty winter dinner.

  1. Brown meat with onion.
  2. Drain grease, except 1 tablespoon.
  3. Add 2 tablespoon flour, stir in well.
  4. Add liquid.
  5. Cook until thick.
  6. Add vegetables, salt and pepper.
  7. (Sometimes I stop here and serve.) Melt butter in 2 quart casserole.
  8. Beat eggs in medium bowl.
  9. Add milk, blend well.
  10. Add flour and salt, beat until batter is smooth.
  11. Pour into dish.
  12. Spoon meat mixture into center of batter to within 1 inch of edge.
  13. Bake in 425 degree oven for 30 minutes or until puffed and browned.
