Healthy snack taken from Food Magazine Dec 2007 issue.
- 1 granny smith apple, coarsley grated
- 1 1⁄2 cups plain low-fat yogurt
- 1⁄4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1⁄4 cup sliced almonds (toasted if desired)
- In a small bowl, combine apple, yogurt, raisins, and honey; divide between two serving bowls. Sprinklw with almonds,and serve immediately.
A wonderful, healthy snack! This was easy to make and can be changed around a bit to suit your liking. I used a red apple and didn't put raisins in it, but it was still a very wonderful treat.
LOVED this for a healthy and delicious breakkie! The flavours of the tart yogurt, sweet and sour apple, nutty almonds and sweet raisins paired so well! I can see this as my new to go breakkie. :)
