low-fat pie crust
- Sift flour and add salt.
- Add yogurt to flour and blend in mixer.
- Add cold water until flour is moistened.
- Roll out on floured board.
- Press desired amount into pie plate.
This looked interesting as I was looking for a low fat pie crust for a turkey pot pie, so I went with it. It turned out to be more like a chewy dumpling pie crust. The taste was fine, but the texture was no where near a pie crust, but I expected something different. I think a little baking powder/soda would help so it rises a bit and gets fluffier. I might experiment with it again.
