Low fat because you use applesace - very Good. Mix up with different cereals and yogurts!

  1. Mix first 6 ingredients (I crush the cereal).
  2. Press the mixture into a greased 8X8 pan.
  3. Mix yogurt, egg and flour and spread on cereal mixture and top with remaining mixture- press lightly.
  4. Bake for 30 min in a 350 degree oven.
  5. Cool and cut into bars.

Different but good, and a great way to clean some extra yogurt out of the fridge. Sweet, moist bars that may just convince a picky child to eat breakfast. For those concerned about sugar, you could probably cut it back some. Looks like some of the instructions are missing, so I layered half the cereal mixture, all of the yogurt mixture, then dolloped remaining cereal mixture on top. I was a little concerned that the cereal mixture wouldn't hold together when baked, but they were perfect. Used all organic ingredients for a much cheaper version of bars you can buy in the store. Will make these again, probably soon since there's more yogurt in the fridge. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

really easy and yummy.Used creamy whole plain organic yogurt mixed with a little lemon yogurt I had.Used raisin bran mixed with organic fruit hoop cereal. it was really scrummy still warm and we will try some when it cools down. I will make this again and again for sure!!!!!!!!

This is so good! My DS and I love this...though no one else would try it. I had to change some things according to what I had on hand. I used Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, whole wheat flour, vanilla yogurt with orange extract and a touch of orange juice. I took one reviewer's suggestion and added an egg to the cereal mixture. Very moist, probably just not use that egg next time. Left it in fridge overnight to cool and it was great for breakfast. Thanks for this versatile recipe that is a great way of using up that last bit of yogurt!
