I got this recipe at a church lesson evening. I make HUGE batches and store them in plastic bags in the freezer in place of popsicles...at least they are a little healthier than frozen kool-aid! I don't know how long it takes them to freeze, I just do them the night before.
- 680.38 g container vanilla yogurt
- 4 small bananas, sliced
- 354.88 ml sliced strawberries
- 236.59 ml mini marshmallows
- Combine ingredients in mixing bowl.
- Spoon mixture into six 8 oz plastic drink cups, dividing equally.
- Insert popsicle sticks in center, freeze until solid.
- To unmold, run a little hot water on the outside of the cup.
These really aren't so healthy with all the sugar from the marshmallows, so I left them out and added 1 c. blueberries instead. Great when your on the run and want something in your tummy for breakfast!
My kids love these. It is such a treat for them to have these. They are healthy too!
I tagged this recipe for the Healthy ABC game and I'm so glad I did! My kids devoured them! This was such a simple recipe too. My 3 year old helped me make them. I decided to dice the strawberries and bananas (rather than slice) because I thought they would be easier to eat. The pops were so cute, and turned slightly pink from the juicy strawberries. I think colored marshmallows would be adorable in these pops and might try that next time. We had them for an afternoon snack but thought how fun it would be to have them for breakfast and use them to dip into crunchy granola. My kids would think that was a really fun and yummy breakfast. This is a keeper! It's easy, healthy and delicious!
