    Directions:

      Cook split peas, vegetable stock, onion, carrot, turnip, parsnip, marjoram, thyme, and salt together.

      Cook for two hours; drain.

      Mash in blender.
    4. 4
      Fry minced onion in butter until lightly browned; add flour.

      Add to mashed vegetables.

      Beat until smooth.

      This soup is quite delicious. I never before tried yellow split peas for soup, and I am so glad I chose this recipe for ZWT6. My DS would never try green split pea soup, but I served this without saying what it was and he had two helpings. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
