This soup is quite delicious. I never before tried yellow split peas for soup, and I am so glad I chose this recipe for ZWT6. My DS would never try green split pea soup, but I served this without saying what it was and he had two helpings. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

  1. Cook split peas, vegetable stock, onion, carrot, turnip, parsnip, marjoram, thyme, and salt together.
  2. Cook for two hours; drain.
  3. Mash in blender.
  4. Fry minced onion in butter until lightly browned; add flour.
  5. Add to mashed vegetables.
  6. Beat until smooth.
