Yellow Squash Patties

This is a good recipe for squash that has been cooked and you don't know what else to do with it. My family just love them.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 3 cups yellow squash, cooked and drained
  • 13 cup onion, chopped (I've also used green onions)
  • 1 egg
  • 12 teaspoon season salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt, if not already seasoned
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 34 cup self-rising flour
  • oil (for frying)


  1. In a bowl, add the squash, onion, egg and seasonings.
  2. Mix in the flour alittle at a time, stir until thick enough to drop by spoonfuls.
  3. In a fry pan, heat oil till hot about 350.
  4. Fry till lightly brown on both sides, remove and drain on a paper towel.
  5. Serve warm.
