This sounds ridiculous. Someone I worked with, years ago, told me to try this. I did and it's really good. Try it! Any milk will do.
- 2 yellow squash, sliced (more or less)
- 1⁄2 red onion, sliced (more or less)
- 1⁄2 cup milk (skim, 1%, 2% or whole)
- Pour the milk in a skillet and heat gently.
- Add squash and onion.
- Cook until done to your liking, I prefer still al dente (some people like them soft and squishy).
- Salt and pepper to taste.
