  • Combine milk, shortening and yeast.
  • Add sugar, salt and flour.
  • Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
  • Place on greased baking pan, let rise in warm draft free place for 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350' degrees F.
  • for 15-20 minutes.

  1. These were so easy and delicious. The rolls are soft and good with butter and jelly for desert. Will make these instead of baking powder biscuits that I usually make. Thanks for posting this easy recipe. My family voted it a KEEPER. In place of the self-rising flour I used 4 cups flour, 2 tablespoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon of salt
     
  2. These are just wonderful. I made them last night along with this #32467 and everyone loved the Rolls. I do think I made a mistake at some point. When the instructions say to roll out the dough I realized that my dough was not firm enough to do that, so I just dropped them by Tablespoon full into the pan and proceeded as directed. It didn't affect the outcome , though, and the Rolls turned out great. This is a great recipe for making Yeast Rolls in a hurry. Thank you for posting this wonderful recipe.

  5. Loved this recipe. Only one thing I would do different. Had one cup of flour when rolling out. I used biscuit cutter. They are absoutley wonderful. Fast too.
