  1. Children, DD1 (5 years old), DD2 (15 months old) and I liked these. I used either overgrown sweet potatoes or they called them yams on the store sign, additional light tasting extra virgin olive oil (nothing on the pans), extra ground cumin, no ground coriander as I didn't have any on hand (all my spices are in my other house 5 hours away) and no pepper for the same reason. Two different pans cooked for different amounts of time. We ate them with home-made honey mustard using organic, raw, local honey. Made for Healthy Choices Tag Game 2013.

  2. Instead of Yam fries how about Yummy fries? As these are very yummy! These tasty fries could not be any easier or tastier, made them as written and would not change a thing. Thanks so much for the post.

  3. these are simple and sooooo good!!! The spices are perfect :) I did add a bit of salt and didn't have any cooking spray, so I used a little bit of canola oil on the baking sheet and it worked fine. I dipped them in some garilc/basil mayo I had in the fridge (1/2c mayo, 1 clove garlic(minced, not crushed), 2 Tbsp fresh chopped basil, let sit in the fridge for 15 min or so to let the flavors mingle ) .... dangerous!!!! thanks for posting!! Will use over and over...yum!

  4. Yummy! I have made yam fries in the past but the addition of the spices in this recipe made it SO much better. They were delicious and my children loved them-we all did. I peeled the yams (with a peeler) because that is what I have always done and frankly I can't imagine having to deal with the tough and yucky outside of a yam. In the past I used more oil than this time. I reduced the oil and used spray like the recipe said and it turned out great. We all thought they tasted much better than typical french fries. Thanks for a more healthy and delicious alternative. We will definitely eat this again soon.

  5. Delicious! easy, too! Update: I have made these countless times! They are easy and the spices compliment the sweet potato so well! Thanks!
