While these aren't quite as good as the real thing, they are pretty darn good and best of all LOW points! I used Ww cream cheese and made 17 of these w/ each truffle equaling 1 point that way. Perfect consistency after rolled and chilled, but MAN was it tough rolling them into balls lol. Very simple to make as well!
I couldn't get it to be solid enough to make them into balls. And there was already so much icing sugar in it tying to make it solid nough that it was then too sweet.
These are so delicious I can't stand it! I had one and I am trying desperately to stay away from them now so that the kids will get some when they come! Oh soooooooo goooood! OMG yummy!!! Jelly
A very nice alternative to traditional, more fattening truffles. I got the recipe out of WW magazine, and they also offered a Christmas version. In it, you use mint extra and roll the truffles in crushed candy canes.) It doesn't change the point value.) I tried both versions to see which I preferred. While both are good, we all seemed to like the original version best. The truffles get a little soft when they have been sitting out, so try to keep them in the fridge until the last possible moment.
Ok, I'm a HUGE truffle lover and after having my son I'm trying to shed some pregnancy pounds so these sounded perfect. Well they tasted great but they were VERY chewy. Not sure if that was something I did wrong or not. I will try again in the future.
