These are very good for being lowfat. I used whole wheat pastry flour, which helped keep them lighter. I will add some cinnamon next time, though, for a little extra zip. The texture was great.

These were REALLY good! I made almost exactly as shown (with regular whole wheat flour) but used 2% milk instead of skimmed because that's all I had. I made the MINI muffins and expected them to be like lead because of the whole wheat flour. I LOVE THEM!
What a wonderful basic recipe. So i had a little fun with it. i made 3 types with the same batter. I added 1/2 cup of bran to the mix. I made a banana walnut, blueberry crumble by replacing the bananas with blueberries and topping with flour, butter and sugar mix on top prior to baking. last a cranberry delight with swirls of strawberry jam.....oh so yum. I made quite a few modifications based on what ingredients I had on hand, but my family really enjoyed this recipe. I used 3 very ripe bananas, about 3 T of honey, added a splash of vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt in place of the milk. I also added a brown sugar oat streusel since I was afraid the muffins wouldn't be sweet enough (I had nothing to worry about). The muffins were a little dense due to the whole wheat, but they rose beautifully and had a lovely golden color. They were flavorful and very moist so I will definitely make these again!
These do not taste low fat at all. They are delicious. I also added mini chocolate chips. The only problem I had is being able to only eat just one. Will definitely make them again.
Very tasty. I added lots of cinnamon and maple syrup. They were plenty sweet. I left out the vegetable oil by mistake but didn't miss it at all.
These are so very good. My 18 year son keeps asking me to make them! I add 1/3 cup of miniature chocolate chips. The weight watchers point value is 5, if you include the chocolate chips. I took them to work and they were a hit there, as well! Thanks for the recipe, birdgirl58!
