This is a delicious, low cal, low cost soup. I'm confused by the calories listed by RZ.
This recipe was delicious & super easy to make! My family all loved it and it was almost all gone in one sitting! Great served with bread or rolls to dip in the soup.
Easy and delicious. I have mixed it up and made it more Southwest by using "chili-ready" tomatoes. Good when you're in a hurry.
Excellent! Used all salt-free can except for the minestrone soup. Great by itself or served in a pita with lettuce and tomato.
I didn't think this soup was that great. It was easy and quick and not too bad, but I guess I had too high of expectations from all the reviews. We didn't even finish the batch we made because it just wasn't that good.
I was looking around for a new recipe for soup - I like to make a big batch in my crockpot and take it to work during the week. Whoda thunk that a WW recipe would be good? This is good, easy, and I was wow'd by the (lack of) calories from fat. I used kidney beans instead of black beans and drained the corn. I think next time I will try it with frozen veggies instead just to get the extra goodness!
I made a couple changes, so I didn't add a rating. I added a can of dark red kidney beans, tomato sauce, beef broth, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp basil, 1 tsp garlic and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes. With those changes, you get 7-2 cup servings for 2 points a serving. Talk about super filling and really good!
When I want to drop a few LB's I make a double batch and eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. I am never hungry and never get tired of it. I have made it with chicken breast for dinner for the family as well.
Oh my goodness, how much more simple can you get. I added some ground beef to the soup but otherwise followed recipe. My family really liked this and I liked that the toughest thing about this recipe is opening the cans....LOL. Thank you for posting.
It's pretty tastey and a great diet food. It fills a whole pot. Thanx.
