I don't know what i did wrong, but this cake fell apart into crumbs the second i tried to serve it. it was rather bland, even my 16 year old son didn't want to finish it up. the points value doesnt add up correctly either, so that was a dissapointment. i'm sorry, but i won't be making this again.

Pretty good kind of crumbly but my family enjoyed it. I did do the math myself to make sure but yep it is not 1 point but 4 so I guess I wasted a few.

There are so many versions of this recipe out there. I tried using just the cake mix & soda. The cake is very good, but it's falling apart. Next time I'll definitely use the 2 egg whites. My combination was Diet Squirt & Lemon. Chocolate & Diet Root Beer is next on our list! Some mixes have more calories than others, so if you want 1 pt., then you need to use the Reduced Fat/Sugar mixes.

Incredibly surprised! For someone who does not like diet anything at all.... these are really, very good, and moist! Wow!!! I like the devil's food cake, and diet cherry pepsi combo myself, although, this is closer to two points if making 24 cupcakes. I also did the same with strawberry cake, and decreased the amount of soda(diet strawberry) to 10 oz, and added a tsp ov vanilla, I dorpped them onto cookie sheets (about1 1/2T of batter) baked for about six to 8 minutes or until lighty browned, then drizzled it with just a touch of melted chocolate... superb, and only 1 WWpt!

This wasn't bad but I've found the best soda/cake combo is diet cola (coke or pepsi) and chocolate cake. You can create other combos too like lemon cake and or iet sprite. The cola and chocolate or devils food cake are best.

This was okay, but was very crumbly. Next time, I would make the cake according to the package directions, substituting eggs with egg whites, and the oil with applesauce. Made this way, a serving is still 4 points, but the cake will hold together much better.

A nice no-fuss cake! I baked mine in a bundt pan and had to cook a little longer than the package directed. We all enjoyed this tasty snack!

YUMMY!!!!!! This was great. My husband and I loved the texture, the taste, everything. We used Diet Lemon Lime soda and Betty Crocker yellow cake mix. We were so excited to have something low points, decent serving size, and so tasty. Thank you thank you thank you.

This was delicious. I used diet sprite and duncan hines yellow cake mix. Less than one box made 48 tiny cupcakes. They rose perfectly and tasted heavenly. Mine worked out to be 4 tiny cupcakes = 1 point which is incredible!

When I started WW, a variation this treat made a fairly regular appearance here but I have not made it in years. Came across this and decided it was time to try it again. My batch was made with yellow cake and diet Sprite and made into cupcakes for better portion control. The results were dense and lightly sweet, satisfied the sweet tooth for sure. My cupcakes barely rose and were a bit on the sticky side. I vaguely remember adding baking powder and an egg white long ago and will try that.

Excellent, but used with diet coke instead.

This is a great dessert, & I've made it with several different kinds of mixes and soft drinks. However, it's 3-4 WW points, depending on the mix you use.
