World's Easiest Tomato Soup

This recipe came together one cold winter day when I was craving tomato soup and all I had in the pantry resembling tomatoes, was a jar of pasta sauce.

Definitely an unusual way to put together a tomato soup, but it does have its merits, for sure ~ Easy-to-prepare & pretty tasty, too! Although I did use a full-fat cream this time around, I might try it with a low fat cream or half-and-half in the future! [Made & reviewed in New Kids on the Block tag]

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (26 1/2 ounce) jarall-natural pasta sauce, with four cheese
  • 8 ounces heavy cream (if soup is too thick, add more cream)


  1. In a medium sized sauce pan add pasta sauce and heavy cream. Simmer slowly over low heat for about 10 minutes or until heated through.
  2. ** I used Member's Mark All-Natural Pasta Sauce with Four Cheese from Sam's Club, but I'm confident any brand pasta sauce with four cheese will turn out just as tasty.
