Totally unreal salad. I think we can all decide for ourselves what we want to eat and shouldn't be making unpleasant comments about things we haven't even tried. As for the fat content- it has been admitted before that the panels are not always correct and you can always substitute low fat alternatives for cheese and mayonnaise. This is a great dish for a large gathering such as a BBQ.

There are plenty of sites that have only low cal, low fat recipes if that is all you want to try. We are also trying to lose weight (constantly) but need to have a treat once in a while & this certainly is. I will make it for a family dinner soon & know they will want the recipe. Good work!

This sounds wonderful. I'll be trying it soon. As to the nutritional content, if we (my family and I) can't splurge once in awhile and enjoy good old fashioned comfort food, then I don't care if I live to be 100! This site list recipes by nutrional content. So look there for all the health food and let us enjoy the rest. Enjoying a food theat's high in fat, and REALLY tastes great is NOT a sin!

I made this salad for a work function, and it was a huge success! Many people commented on the yummy flavours so I was really pleased I decided to make it. I used Parmesan, grated chedder, and a bacon flavoured cheddar for the cheeses, and they were so nice in it. Never mind the cals, it's a great salad for a big party and like others pointed out, we can all splurge occassionally!!!

I would never judge a recipe I had not tried. This is a wonderful potato salad which was enjoyed by twenty people at the pool party yesterday. Maybe next time I should put a health warning on it ... NOT! Thank you for this delightful potato salad recipe.

You might consider this as the best salad in the world but please take a look at the nutritional analysis of this recipe. It is so high on calories and fats. I don't think salads should be so high on unwanted stuff. Instead, share a recipe which is more on nutrition.

Interesting salad. I was happy with the result when I tasted the diced components mixed with the mayo the night before (and I liked the seasonings mixed with mayo), but when everything was put together I thought it was just too many different things going on. I served it at a birthday party for my 19 year old son and his friends and there weren't many who even tried it.
