A WARM smoothie? You'll be an instant beleiver- when I want a smoothie but don't want to get chilled, this is the one I make. Be sure your fruit is nice and ripe. Taste incroyable.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 mango, peeled and sliced off the stone
  • 1 medium banana
  • 13 cup apple juice (or try other juices)

  1. Combine the mango, banana and juice in a small pot. Bring to a simmer over medium for a few minutes, till it's bubbly and well heated through.
  2. Transfer to a food processor and blend until it's still just slightly chunky.
  3. Pour into a big mug and ENJOY your trip to Jamaica!

The perfect warm-me-up - mangoes have been sale yet it's been unseasonably cold in Orlando. I made it in the blender instead of the food processor and it turned out great. Next time I'm going to try making it backwards...blending as a smoothie in advance, then microwaving before serving.

I made this COLD because it was hot outside! It's great that way too. This was different for me as I usually use orange juice. Thanks!

Great idea! I did use frozen mango, and it was delicious! However, I will now wait impatiently for nice, fresh, ripe ones to hit the market, then I'll make this again, & with homemade apple juice! As I said, a great idea that I'll use again! Thanks for sharing! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Every Day Is a Holiday cooking game]
