It melts fast! But it's so good, it won't last that long! And it's low on fat too!
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
- 1⁄2 cup lemon juice
- 1 (25 5/8 ounce) bottle rose wine (I like Pinot Noir Rose)
- Combine water and sugar in small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
- COmbine sugar syrup and remaining ingredients, pour into freezer trays, and freeze until almost firm. Spoon mixture into large bowl, and beat with an electric mixer until slushy. Return to freezer trays;freeze until firm.
Made this a couple of months ago and everyone loved it. I served with fresh blueberries on top. Reminds me a little of a Champagne sorbet recipe I posted.
