This is one of my favorite salads. Just plain old good! Prep time includes cook time.

Directions

  1. Just before serving shred lettuce with knife.
  2. In large skillet fry bacon until crisp.
  3. Remove bacon and crumble.
  4. Add vinegar.
  5. Heat through.
  6. Remove skillet from heat and add lettuce and onion.
  7. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
  8. Toss 1-2 minutes until lettuce is wilted.
  9. Put lettuce in serving dish and sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
