We liked it. My husband & I ate the "whole thing"! It's just like I make wilted lettuce.
My husband said "Honey, this is the best cabbage I've ever had!"
This was GREAT and i made it like 3 times in two weeks... I add more bacon and while its all cooking I pour a little olive oil on top and i use lots of onions
Great recipe. We have cabbage every New Year's day for good luck. I tried this recipe this year, and I belive it will be back next year as well. Everyone loved it. I used brown sugar (1/4 cup) and 2 tbl cider vinegar (reversed the ratio) for a sweeter dish. Thanks for posting.
Now this is the way we love cabbage! I have made this using plain white vinegar and with apple cider vinegar and both ways taste equally yummy. I love that bit of sweet tartness. Another thing I like to use this recipe for is a quick and easy main dish. I just brown a pound of ground beef and add it to the cabbage about 5 minutes before it is done. Dh and I love it either way. Thanks for posting this great recipe.
Wow! This was incredibly good. I used turkey bacon and it had a wonderful rich, sweet/sour flavor. I love cabbage and this is an especially good way to make it. I'm sure I will be making this again. Thanks for a great recipe!
Mmmm! I omitted the fried bacon and the bacon grease and threw in some bacon bits at the end. Loved this recipe! Thanks
