Great recipe, very easy to make and no complicated ingredients. me and my husband absolutely loved this dish! And it wa sthe first time I was making casserole and cooking venison. I made few changes: -used normal white rice -didn't use celery, but added some carots -forgot to add onion, but added a clove of garlic. Yum!

This recipe was awesome. I fixed it for my 13 year old son and his friends and they devoured it! I didn't have just wild rice so I used a wild rice/brown rice mix and it worked nicely. You could probably adapt this to long grain or even instant rice and it would still be good. Next time I'll cut the water in half (it was a little runny) and I'll add black pepper.

This is actually very yummy! I didn't know how it would turn out, and when i took it out of the oven initially it looked like sewage! lol. But once i got into onto plates, it looked nice and then tasted it and it really was great!! It actually reminds me of this hamburger helper that my mom used to make when I was really young, it was my favorite but they dont make it anymore. So I am glad to have this recipe!!

Very yummy! Even my 2-year-old loved it! Excellent meal any time of year, but will be especially wonderful when the weather starts getting cold.

Fantatic recipe. I didn't actually have any ground venison, but I did have some ground venison sausage, so I used that. You really should try it that way. It is great. I will be cooking this one again, and I will try it with regular ground venison also. Everything else was exactly as directed. Thanks Aunt Paula for the great recipe.
