      Doubled the recipe to fit the family, but otherwise made it exactly as per directions. As it turns out, my teenage son is gone to have breakfast with his girlfriend, so I have leftovers for another breakfast! To my taste, the tablespoon maple syrup and the blueberries at the end make the recipe. Without the fruit, it would be too much grain for me. I'll be trying another fruit with the leftovers. Definitely a keeper for this family!

      By the way, we used as per recipe, so doubling made four servings. Large servings, so if you eat something else with it - yogurt, eggs, whatever - you'll likely want to count the basic recipe as 3-4 servings.

      Since it was mentioned in the recipe, the fact that I used all vanilla flavoring (instead of half vanilla & half maple) isn't actually a change! However I did double the amount of the maple syrup that I used, but otherwise followed the recipe right on down. We had a wonderfully tasty breakfast & something I'd be happy to make again!       This made for a nice filling brekky, I also added the berries during cooking...I would have liked this a little sweeter so would add a smidge Splenda if I made it again..served with yoghurt..it was much enjoyed. Thanks!

      Yum. A delicious and hearty breakfast that provides protein, antioxidants, and complex carbohydrates. This was super easy to make as I was rushing around getting packed to head to the airport! I used a red and white quinoa mixure, and real maple syrup. Thanks for posting Swissms!

      Something different! I added the blueberries during the cooking so they would "melt" and color the quinoa (my photo is unretouched!) This recipe makes a potful and can easily serve four people. It was not sweet enough for me but I will try making it again with some adjustments. Great idea!

      Great change of pace. DH loves quinoa and was not disappointed in this new take on breakfast. Could not say anyone flavor shinned over the others as all the flavors came through equally making this a breakfast we will be making again and again. Made as written using Red Quinoa. Thanks so much for the great breakfast.
