I thought this was a good potato salad. I liked that it didn't have eggs in it, but I think next time i will cut down on the mustard because it was a little strong tasting for us. Thanks for sharing!
Yes! This is a great potato salad. I liked that this recipe didn't include eggs or bacon. I halved the recipe since I wasn't making it for a very large crowd. It turned out perfect.
OMG Kiwiwife!!! DH, the picky chef, could not stop eating this! I used leftover potatoes from "Smoked Sausage, Green Beans, and Potatoes", which may have added to the flavor, but I couldn't really tell. Oh, and I accidently used hot paprika. It was FABULOUS! I can't imagine making potato salad any other way now. Thank you and DH thanks you!
This is a very good recipe. I cut back on the onion a little bit -- and glad I did. I think a lot depends on the onion!!! Some are much stronger than others. Other than that, I followed your directions exactly. It's not too dry; nor too moist --just right. I think I might try adding a couple hard boiled eggs the next time I make it. Thanks for posting the recipe for all of us to use.
This is the same recipe for potato salad that I grew up with (except that most of my family likes Miracle Whip instead of mayo, so Mom usually makes it with that). This potato salad is the reason that everyone in my immediate family turns their nose up at deli potato salads. Kiwiwife, you can come to my family's cookouts with your potato salad anytime (not a commonly bestowed honor from my picky family)lol. Thanks for posting!
