    Units: US | Metric

    • 1 cup wholemeal self-rising flour
    • 1/4 cup unprocessed natural bran
    • 1/4 cup raw sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 cup milk

      Combine all ingredients in a blender.

      Process till smooth.
    3. 3
      Heat frypan to moderately high.
    4. 4
      Grease lightly.
    5. 5
      Drop dessertspoons of batter into pan.
    6. 6
      Allow room fror spreading and turning.
    7. 7
      Cook till bubbles appear on top.
    8. 8
      Turn and cook other side till golden brown.
    9. 9
      Serve warm with butter.

      I halved the recipe and made them as written. This made for a very satisfying and tasty breakfast. I had topped with sugar free syrup. They freeze and reheat very well. I will be making these again and again in the future. Made for May 2013 Aus/NZ Swap.

      What a nice way to start the day! Nice sweet, thick and tasty pancakes that come together quickly and can be eaten on the run. We liked the addition of the bran and that these stayed with us all morning. I made using Splenda brown sugar blend and Eggbeaters, thanks for the post.

      These were lovely & filling, they make quite a dense pancake as the mixture is quite heavy.. I served them with Chocolate Butter and both miss 4 year old DD and I enjoyed. Thanks!
