Whole Wheat Strawberry Walnut Bread

A yummy way to use up extra strawberries. This is a great breakfast bread.

  1. Mix sugar, eggs, oil, and extracts together in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt together.
  3. Stir flour mixture into sugar mixture.
  4. Add strawberries, applesauce, and walnuts. Mix just until combined.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Delicious and moist. I made a half recipe and made muffins (made 8 regular size). I used some slightly overripe strawberries so was a good way to use them up!
