This is my family's favorite pizza crust. My dh loves pizza so we have it often. I use fresh ground white wheat for this recipe. It makes two medium pizza crusts.
- 2 cups warm water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon yeast
- 5 -5 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Combine ingredients and knead ten minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to ferment as long as possible. (I make it at breakfast time to use for supper).
- Roll it out and poke crust with a fork all over to let out air. Add toppings and bake at 500°F for 10 minutes.
