Yummy. The breadcrumb topping really makes this dish. Use Ronzoni whole wheat pasta. It is delicious. After adding the cheese, I found the pasta to be a little sticky. Next time I'll add some pasta water to try to smooth it out.
Love this dish...have made it several times, always a hit. Easy too. Recommend you heavy up on the pancetta and using parmesan instead of fontina is fine.
There are some good flavors here, and we regularly use whole wheat pasta, so we know we like that, but I think it was the texture of the beans and pasta together that didn't really sit right on our palates.
