- 1 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
- 1 cup five grain rolled oats or 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 4 cups apples, peeled, cored and chopped- Granny Apples work best
- 1⁄4 cup Splenda sugar substitute
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice (optional)
- 1⁄4 cup dried cranberries (optional)
- 1⁄4 cup walnuts (optional)
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C.) Lightly grease an 8 or 9 inch square pan.
- In a large bowl, combine Splenda brown sugar, oats, whole wheat flour and butter. Mix until crumbly. Place half of crumb mixture in pan. Spread the apples evenly over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with Splenda, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, cranberries, walnuts and top with remaining crumb mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
