I made a batch of these up, reduced the raisins to half and only put them in half the batch because DH says, "I don't like raisins in cookies; don't put any in mine!" I was trying to make an assortment of healthy, high-fibre snacks for my terminally ill MIL, so wanted the raisins for hers (she'd told me that she did like raisins). Well DH grabbed one with the raisins and said, "Wow...these are really good! Are there raisins in these?" While I was mixing the cookies up, I had poured a little boiling water over the raisins to plump them a little so they would be good and soft for my MIL. When I was ready for the raisins, I just folded them in. Next time I make these DH definitely wants me to add the raisins to the whole batch...lol. Thanks for sharing this recipe Caryn!

I seem to be getting into cookie making!! So glad I had the chance to make these ones. They are crunchy on the outside and softer on the inside with a great flavour. Nice when something good for you tastes good too!!

Who knew healthy could taste this good?!!! The health food stores were closed, so I had to substitute wheat germ for the bran. They were very delicious, and they are really going fast! Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Delicious!! I made a few changes though. I used egg substitute instead of the whole egg, skim milk instead of whole, whole grain white flour instead of all-purpose flour, and what germ instead of bran (didn't have any on hand). They came out wonderfully delicious! I love the flavor the cloves add - I will definitely make these again. Thanks for the recipe!

Excellent cookie! Love the high fiber content. My kiddos loved them. I think I will try and cut the sugar next time and see if they still turn out right.
